Park Cafe Beef Burger

On Saturday 20.09.2014 I had "Grand Beef" burger from McDonald's for lunch; on Sunday though the burger came from a summer-style open-air cafe in a small park not far from my place in Moscow.

The burger is made specially for you (if you believe what they say) -- the meat patty is fried for the whole of seven minutes. But you don't see the process, it could still be microwaved. 

The burger has arrived and looks pretty nice. It is tall but well put together, won't fall apart easily. Also the turquoise plates look cheerful in a bright September sun.

The meat patty looks more like a beef chop, but looks nice all the same, a slice of tomato on top of said chop acting as the foundation for the top bun, keeping it in place, mayonnaise sauce. Under the chop is cut lettuce, some small bits of something else and two slices of marinated cucumbers, and a bit of yellow sauce, could be mustard based. The lettuces and cucumbers look fresh.

The hamburger was okay but what it is missing is more "complicated" sauces such as McDonald's with its secret ingredients. And I guess the chop half-looked like one of those semi-finished chopped beef cutlets that you can buy at any store here in Moscow by the dozen and fry at home, but I'll let it pass. And it cost RUB190 (about 4 in dead presidents) which means that you can get virtually any burger from McDonald's cheaper, if not by much.

Presentation - 7/10 - tall but well constructed, personal service.

Size - 7/10 - enough to last until late dinner.

Taste - 5/10 - not too bad, more than acceptable for a no-name burger from a street cafe.
